Dancers of Damelahamid, in partnership with the Anvil Centre, will host the13th annual Coastal Dance Festival, an annual celebration of Indigenous stories, song and dance from Canada and abroad.

 

The Evening Ticketed Theatre Performance features headline performances from Dancers of Damelahamid and special guest artists. New and not-to-be-missed this year: the emerging talents of Arctic Song, who revitalize Inuit drum songs through pairings with contemporary dance; Spakwus Slolem (Squamish), Rainbow Creek (Haida) and Dancers of Damelahamid.

 

The festival takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Qayqayt people. Dancers of Damelahamid and the Anvil Centre proudly acknowledge their traditional hosts.
