Indigenous Youth Connecting to Their Roots Art Project was composed of six Indigenous youth from different Nations ranging from Kinistin Saulteaux Nation to the Metis Nation. These Art Nights were held in office spaces that were brightened by colourful conversation and paints by the youth in New Westminster. This group started creating in April 2019 and finished in June 2019.

These Indigenous Art Nights were put together and facilitated by Carmen Littlejohn as a part of her work in the Indigenous Youth Internship Program in her placement in the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The purpose of these Indigenous Art Nights was to bring Indigenous Youth together to learn about their Indigenous background art history and to create something meaningful to them.

The works are displayed on the 4th floor of the Anvil Centre (777 Columbia Street) for the duration of the summer.
