Karlene Karst, BSc Nutrition is a leading authority in natural health and wellness. She is the founder of the award-winning brand Sea-licious® Omega-3 oils and has published numerous health books. Karlene is an upbeat, well-informed sought-after TV personality and spokesperson appearing on the cover of magazines and TV shows including The Marilyn Denis Show, CTV Morning Live, Global Morning News, and Breakfast TV. Karlene is an enthusiastic recipe and food innovator who inspires with her belief in real, whole food as she feeds her busy family of five.

Jennifer Dyck, ND is a health educator and public speaker with a passion for empowering her patients to achieve optimal health. With special expertise in treating digestive complaints, hormone imbalances, and brain-related health conditions, Dr. Jen has a busy, active practice and shares her knowledge by training health industry retailers and educating the public on these and other areas of interest.

Matiu Bisset is a corporate chef, with experience in kitchens from Washington, Vancouver, and the Okanagan. Driven and inspired by sustainable and regional ingredients, Matiu brings a creative flair that is expressed through his love of great-tasting, healthy food.

Joseph E. Pizzorno, Jr., ND has earned international respect through education, research, publishing, policy advancement, and solution-driven innovation, and also for his visionary leadership integrating science-based natural medicine into health care delivery models. In his 40-year career, he has shared with millions around the world the profound efficacy of natural medicine.

Marita Schauch, ND is the author of two books: Making Sense of Women’s Health and Collagen Myths & Misconceptions. She also co-authored The Adrenal Stress Connection and, more recently, Stress and the Disease Connection with Dr. Karen Jensen. In addition to her clinical practice, she lectures across North America educating people on positive lifestyle choices.

Kate Rhéaume, ND is an author, graduate, and former faculty member of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Kate lectures internationally on many topics related to health and wellness and is a frequent guest on radio and television across North America. She is the author of the best-selling book Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox: How a Little-Known Vitamin Could Save Your Life.

Julie Reil, MD is an internationally recognized physician, women’s health and nutrition advocate, educational speaker and Women’s Voice author. She developed the Genityte® urinary incontinence procedure and the Triple Tone Treatment®. A University of Washington trained MD with 20 plus years of experience in Family Medicine, Obstetrics, and Laser Medicine, Dr. Reil is the founder and director of Shiloh Medical Clinic in Billings, Montana.

Karen Jensen, ND received her degree in naturopathic medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has appeared frequently on television and radio and has written extensively for health magazines. The author or co-author of seven books, the most recent titled Women’s Health Matters: The Influence of Gender on Disease, Dr. Jensen is now retired after 25 years in clinical practice, but continues to write about natural and safe choices for optimal wellness.

Gaetano Morello, ND is a published author and licensed naturopathic physician. Recently he has been appointed as a Clinician at the newly created Complex Chronic Disease Program located at BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver. He is the first naturopathic doctor to hold such a position at a major North American hospital.

Michael Lyon, MD is a UBC faculty member and is a published researcher in the fields of nutrition, appetite regulation, dietary fibre, and blood sugar regulation. He is Board Certified in Obesity Medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and he completed a three-year family practice residency in 1988.

Stephanie Rubino, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor with a practice that focuses on women’s health, perinatal care, pediatrics, stress, and digestive health. She has a special interest in educating the public and other health professionals about diet, supplementation, the integration of pharmacological and natural therapies, as well as the safe and effective use of complementary medicine.

Lara Pizzorno is a member of the American Medical Writers Association, keeping physicians and the public updated on longevity science by analyzing latest research and studies. She has over 25 years of experience in writing and is the editor of Longevity Medicine Review as well as Senior Medical Editor for SaluGenecists, Inc. Lara is also the best-selling author of Your Bones: How You Can Prevent Osteoporosis and Have Strong Bones for Life – Naturally.


Do I have to bring my ticket (printed or on mobile) to the event?
Yes – we will be checking attendees in at the registration desk. Printed tickets or e-tickets on your mobile device will suffice for gaining free entrance to the lecture.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, however, the topics on the schedule are targeted women and their health and wellbeing. The information provided could be relevant to all females ranging in age from older teens through postmenopause.

What parking/transit options are available?
Anvil Centre features three levels of underground parking with 270 stalls which can be accessed off of Eighth Street. Parking is also available at two large nearby parkades. Adjacent to Anvil Centre is the Shops at New West multi-level parkade, located at the corner of Eighth Street and Columbia St. The Front Street Parkade, accessed from Fourth and Sixth Streets and just south of Columbia, offers reasonably priced hourly and daily parking rates. Please arrive early to make sure you can find a place to park.
Transit: Anvil Centre is one block away from New Westminster Station on the SkyTrain Expo Line. There are also stops that service these bus lines: 103, 105, 106, and 109.

What time should I arrive?
The doors to the event open at 9:30 pm. Please arrive early to ensure you can find parking and a seat during the lectures.

Do I need a separate ticket for each day?
No, you only need to register once and your ticket will grant you access to both days of the show. Please bring your ticket with you on both days to check into the event.
