A strategic part of the revitalized downtown cultural district, Anvil Centre is situated on historic Columbia Street between Eighth and Begbie Streets, and is adjacent to the revitalized, award-winning Westminster Pier Park on the Fraser River.

Getting here

Anvil Centre’s convenient location makes it easily accessible by major rapid transit lines, highways—and even by bike!

By rapid transit

Immediately across the Anvil Centre on Eighth Street is the New Westminster SkyTrain station. Less than a 30-minute ride from downtown Vancouver, the New Westminster station is serviced by both the Expo and Millennium Lines. Visitors arriving from YVR can also connect to SkyTrain via a quick 25-minute ride on the Canada Line from the airport. And in the summer of 2016, the Evergreen Line will link the Coquitlam and Tri-Cities area to the Millennium Line.

By car

New Westminster is connected to Metro Vancouver’s major highways and arteries via three bridges: the Queensborough Bridge (connecting Highway 91 and the East-West Connector), the Patullo Bridge (connecting Surrey’s King George Boulevard), and the new Port Mann Bridge (connecting Highway 1). For travellers arriving by BC Ferries, the newly opened South Fraser Perimeter Road (Highway 17) provides a quick, direct route to New Westminster via the Bridgeview Drive/130 St. exit and the River Road/Nordel Way exit.

By bike

The scenic 26-km BC Parkway is a multi-use path that roughly parallels the Expo SkyTrain Line, connecting Surrey City Centre, New Westminster, South Burnaby, and Vancouver. The BC Parkway passes within a block of Anvil Centre.
