A collaborative exhibition focused on highlighting Urban Indigenous living, and how artists connect to their land and living regardless of how far they are from their reserve. Showcasing modern interests, careers, and art styles, 21st Century Indian: An Artistic Look Into Modern Indigeneity, is an exhibition that demonstrates the artistic diversity emerging from the newer generations of Indigenous artists. The exhibition also goes to show, if it’s made by an Indigenous artist, then regardless of the subject, it’s inherently Indigenous art.
