Indigenous Cree Medicine Bag

Learn medicine wheel teachings with sage, cedar, sweet grass, tobacco, and willow fungus, from a Cree knowledge keeper. Discover balance within yourself, with others and throughout your surroundings. Make a deer hide medicine bag with your family to hold medicines to strengthen yourselves and your community. In partnership with Spirit of the Children Society. Instructor: Ernie Cardinal.

Buffalo Circle
Join S^yowah, founder of Buffalo Heart Medicine Healing Society, for a day celebrating the importance of our relationships with each other. Participate and learn the meaning of family through a unique mixture of indigenous storytelling and interactive activities. S^yowah will teach you the importance of teamwork as you come together to play traditional games and craft your very own corn husk doll. Throughout the day, you will learn important teachings through traditional stories. In collaboration with the New Westminster Museum and Archives.
