Poetry and Art Salon
Come enjoy a delightful afternoon of poetry with New Westminster Poet Laureate Janet Kvammen and special guests: poet Chelsea Comeau and artist Tina Rezvani.
Chelsea Comeau is a freelance writer, editor, and web designer. Her work has appeared in Room, CV2, and subTerrain, among other literary magazines. In 2024, she was one of two winners selected by Lorna Crozier for Planet Earth Poetry’s Tribute to Patrick Lane poetry contest, and in 2025 she was the winner of the People’s Choice category for CV2’s 2-Day Poem Contest.
Tina Rezvani, local surrealist oil painter, discusses her latest collection, Hedgelore: Thirteen Verses, a collection of thirteen original paintings. Each painting shows scenes from the songs, giving the stories in Taylor Swift’s landmark album folklore a visual world of their own. Tina painted exactly what she imagined while listening—the places, people, and moments the lyrics brought to life in her mind, building a bridge between poetry and visual arts.
