An introduction to image sourcing, cutting, and pasting in black and white, before building images of landscapes and portraits using coloured publications. Students will work on their own collage projects and collaborate on a large group piece.
This class will focus on composition, colour contrasts and visual storytelling of final works while improving stencil-making techniques. Participants will work on projects with instructor guidance to create aerosol pieces on canvas board during two outdoor sessions.
A continuation and development of skills and ideas learned in Drawing – An introduction. Explore various styles and approaches, and expand your use of line, value, texture, and proportion. Work on composition, representational skills, and creativity.
