Drop-in Making Shadow Puppets 

Discover the wonders of shadow puppetry. Bring your imagination and transform simple art materials into your own unique shadow characters.  Make your puppet come alive behind our shadow screen, take your own photos or video to share, then bring your shadow puppet home for more fun! Powwow Workshops

This Family Day join Juanita Desjarlais for a day of celebration and dance! Come be a part of a vibrant, cultural experience at our mini Powwow event, where the whole community is invited to join in the fun! Whether you’re curious about Powwow dancing or looking to dive deeper into the tradition, this is the perfect opportunity for everyone to learn, participate, and celebrate together.

Event Highlights:

Discover Powwow Dance: Dive into the origins of Powwow dancing, including the rich history behind each style, and the significance of the big drum.

Dance with Us: Bring your regalia and join in the intertribal dances – it’s all about community and connection.

Ask Questions: Interested in starting Powwow dancing or getting your child involved? Here’s your chance to ask questions and get tips from experienced dancers.

Fun for All Ages: Enjoy exciting Powwow games like Powwow bingo and musical chairs, or even compete with the drum!

Learn Powwow Protocols: Understand the important cultural protocols for being a Powwow dancer.
